TRAINING STUDIES COURSES [TS]
Presented by
David Lazear
BACK |
|
The
Training Studies Courses are specifically designed to help
professional trainers, presenters, consultants, and facilitators
understand applications of contemporary brain research (including
multiple intelligences - MiQ! to their profession. The findings about
how the brain learns best challenge almost all of our previous
assumptions about learning and how it actually occurs.
Once trainers, presenters, consultants, and facilitators
understand the fundamentals of the human brain and human learning,
they can design events which create an optimal learning situation
which will meet the unique learning needs of every participant.
MiQ provides hundreds of strategies for using A Different Kind of
Smart! to create “A Different Kind of Training” which accelerates and
enhances participants’ learning. |

MiQ & Communication
Never be boring again and have them begging for
more!
BACK |
If you could
GUARANTEE your clients or boss that people you train would learn the
information more quickly, retain it longer, understand it more deeply,
and be able to integrate it into their daily lives on-the-job and
beyond would this interest you? This seminar exposes ten modern
training myths and reveals a different kind of training based on the
Eight Kinds of Smart. It provides a set of 120 teaching and learning
SmartStrategies for creating “multimodal” training events. Whether
you’re a manager, CIO, a professional trainer, consultant, or group
facilitator, you need to learn how to increase the power and impact of
any information you share with others.

Planning “Multimodal” Eventfulness
Reach Everyone, Every Time - Guaranteed!
BACK |
Have you
ever been conducting a training or making a presentation and you
realized you weren’t reaching everyone; but, you weren’t sure what to
do to change what you were doing? Not everyone learns in the same way.
If your training or presentations are “monomodal” this will continue
to happen often. This seminar provides you with in-depth experience
in using the MiQ Training System. You’ll learn the exact process for
incorporating the Eight Kinds of Smart into your trainings,
presentations, consulting, or facilitation. The core of the seminar is
the MiQ SmartStrategies 120 specific teaching and learning strategies.
You’ll learn a variety of ways to apply these invaluable strategies to
your actual presentation material or process. |

Principles of Dynamic Persuasion
Move People From Where They Are to Where You Want
Them to Be!
BACK
|
What if you
knew how to speak in such a way that it profoundly influenced others
thoughts and actions without force, coercion, or manipulation? What if
people actually wanted to be persuaded by you? No matter what the
content and process of your training, presenting, consulting, or
facilitating, at its core you’re hoping to persuade people to change.
This seminar is based on extensive research into the psychology of
persuasion. It presents ten principles which, when applied, will make
you a dynamic persuader. Through practical exercises, you’ll learn how
to apply the principles of dynamic persuasion so you and your
information have long-term influence on your participants. |

Brain-Based Teaching and Learning
Teach in the Way the Brain Learns and You’ll be
Unstoppable!
BACK |
Humanity
today knows more about the human brain, how it works, and how to help
it function optimally than has ever been known before. The brain
thrives on novelty. It shuts down under stress. It has at least two
very different ways it processes information. The seminar provides
an experiential overview of 12 principles research has shown make for
a “brain-compatible” environment. How you apply these principles makes
the critical difference in creating a training environment that
fosters high-level creativity and motivation. No trainer, serious
about his or her participants’ learning can afford to ignore this
research. |

Adult Learning and Transfer
Make Your Learning Last
“Where the Rubber Hits the Road”!
BACK |
The dictionary defines transfer as “moving
someone (or something) from one place to another.” In the case of
training, this involves moving the learning from a training session to
life beyond the training. But usually this does not happen
automatically. This seminar provides an
in-depth look at the transfer of learning process by presenting a
five-staged model of transfer. You’ll learn how to recognize where
your participants are in their “transfer-ability” and you’ll receive a
set of strategies for helping them to increase the transfer of what
you’re presenting. Some experts believe that only when people make
transfer have they really learned! |

Higher-Order Teaching and Learning
Make Learning More Interesting, More Memorable, and
More Applicable!
BACK |
For the most
part, when we were in school, we were taught how NOT to learn.
Learning is not about memorizing information and spitting it back on
demand. It is not about getting the right answers on a test. It is not
about giving a teacher what he or she wants. Learning is a fantastic,
complex phenomenon that involves many, many levels of thinking. This
seminar takes you through a taxonomy of cognitive abilities and shows
you how to move participants in a training or presentation from the
most basic level of learning (facts, figures, definitions, and
statistics), to the process level (under-standing relationships and
dynamics), to the higher-order level where one can synthesize,
integrate, and apply information which has been learned. You’ll get a
template for analyzing the “thinking level” of your presentations and
learn strategies for taking them higher . |

MiQ Presentation Skills
Supercharge Your Planning - Supercharge Your
Presentations!
BACK |
It has been
said that the success or failure of any training or presentation long
happens long before you are actually “on stage”. The planning you do
prior to the training session or presentation determines what will
happen and what kind of experience it will be for your participants.
This seminar takes you through four distinct models for preparing
unforgettable presentations. You’ll work with your actual material and
learn how to create examples and illustrations which speak to everyone
in the group. You’ll learn a process for creating a compelling
lecture. You’ll learn how to orchestrate a training session which
moves people to action. You’ll learn how to lead great discussions. No
professional presenter should be without the tools provided in this
seminar! |
